Week 2: Love.
Bonhoeffer offers this insight on God loving our humanity, “God becomes human, really human. While we endeavor to grow out of our humanity, to leave our human nature behind us, God becomes human, and we must recognize that God wants us also to become human – really human. …Out of love for human beings, God becomes a human being. He does not seek out the most perfect human being in order to unite with that person. Rather he takes on human nature as it is.”1

Falling Up After 50 
So true! Love that God loves me. I’ve finally realized this after 69 years!

It seems to be amazingly hard to accept and believe that God loves us just the way we are! I too wish I had come to this realization years ago.
