Gifts For Jesus?
You have undoubtedly spent time thinking about, planning, procuring, wrapping, and delivering gifts to family or friends this Christmas season. Your gifts may have included spending time together, cooking/baking, or praying special intentions for them. Have you done anything like this for Jesus?
My spiritual director often needs to remind me (usually every time we meet!) that God wants to be let into our lives and hearts. And this time of year, it’s easy to be so consumed with festive activities that we forget to spend time with God.
For Reflection
Is there something special you’d like to do before Christmas to spend time with God? It could be attending a daily Mass. Or setting aside some time for prayer if you’ve been skipping this lately because you feel overwhelmed or rushed with other things. Do whatever you feel called to do, and trust that if you reach out, God will meet you wherever you are.
